Bio: My name is Byron Sharp, and I am the PE teacher here at OBI. My wife, Dawn, and I have lived in DeSoto County for the last 20 years. We are blessed to be the parents of two incredible boys, Scott (16) and Carson (13).
Education: I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education degree (1999) and my Master of Education degree (2001) from Delta State University. This is my 20th year in education and my 19th year here at Olive Branch Intermediate.
Personal: When I have free time, I enjoy watching my sons play sports, reading, and rooting for my favorite teams (Atlanta Braves, New Orleans Saints, LSU Tigers, and the Memphis Grizzlies).
Goals: My expectation for this year is to raise my students' level of fitness while introducing them to a variety of new games and sports. In addition, I hope to provide my students with numerous opportunities to enjoy being active with their peers while focusing on sportsmanship and fair play.
